BOHEMIAN PARADISE
Each corner of our country has its own characteristic charm. The loving eye of the native catches more details, nuances and secrets than that of the newcomer who merely travels through the seemingly monotonous and not very striking countryside.
Bohemian Paradise has an advantage over the less picturesque and romantic regions. Even the name itself, which has become a geographical term and the name of the region, hides the epitome of beauty, poetry and dreams in itself. Paradise surely is the maximum one can attain. Bohemian Paradise is the very sum total of bewitchingly beautiful elements. These are the dramatic and romantic backdrop of the rock massifs, lone standing rocks and mazes. These are those forests with clean sandy trails, full of blueberries and cranberries. This is Jizera, a clear and cold mountain river, which rushes down and gains a calmer rhythm in the green meadows by Mnichova Hradiště. And these are the cottages with their architecture typical for the Krkonoše foothills in the area surrounding Lomnice nad Popelkou or Nová Paka, stuck like swallows'nests on the ramps and terraces of the hills and rocks with flowers in the windows and flowers in the gardens.
KRKONOŠE MOUNTAINS - mountains of adventure
* Western Krkonoše * Central Krkonoše * Eastern Krkonoše Pec and surroundings, Janské Lázně and surroundings, Žacléřsko, Trutnovsko-Podkrkonoší
The harsh natural climate of mountain ridges, the rugged valleys and the river channels help to create exceptional pictures. Despite the fact that the Krkonoše have more of a middle mountain character and the peaks of the mountains are mostly rounded, they are not lacking in rock formations or cliffs that are as sharp and deep as in the Alps. The area of the moderately sized mountain range protrudes like an island over the surrounding landscape and its peaks, subjected to the north winds, preserve a unique natural environment dating back to the ice ages, reminiscent of the tundra of faraway Scandinavia. Under this kingdom of rock, moss, grass and lichen, an impenetrable carpet of mountain pine, dense pine groves, rich outcrops of beech trees, maple and ash or the varied wealth of flowers in the meadows of the Krkonoše are waiting for the visitor.
