Welcome at the web-site of the stylish restaurant and boarding house At the Czech Crown (U České koruny) which is situated in the historical centre of the queen dowry town Hradec Králové.
We take up several-hundred-year-tradition of the entertainment in this house. We follow up with medieval tavern, the far-famed Schiffner's Pub from 18th century and a fine restaurant from the 19th century.
The historical rationale documenting long list of factual names of successful and as a rule popular barmen, innkeepers and victuallers represent the commitment for us to follow up with the tradition of a high quality service.
Come and visit us because a restaurant and boarding house without any guests, without a gentle buzz of people’s voices and music in Tolman Café, without hot voices of discussing students in the lounge, without lively bustle in Schiffner's Pub, loses all its sense.

Tolman Café The name of the café comes from the name of Hradec Králové writer J. Tolman who was a frequent quest to our restaurant and who even wrote his books here. He recalls this period in his book A Handful of Hradec Reminiscences.
The café is created by an arched area with 18 places, a reception and a bar. Here is breakfast served for the accommodated guests and other early visitors. The space is also used for serving noon menu. Otherwise it is mainly used for quiet sitting at a cup of coffee (Burkhof – J.J.Darboven) and a dessert while reading a favourite newspaper or a book.
Schiffner's Pub Vast gothic cellars - Schiffner’s Pub – today they have the name of the oldest documented owner of the restaurant and boarding house At the Czech Crown. This beautiful space brings you immediately to old history while using contemporary achievements (all the areas are fully air-conditioned). 70 places are at your disposal, wine bar and large archive of wines from all over the world. The pleasant atmosphere is accompanied not only by the candles in forged candle sticks, furniture made strictly according to the medieval patterns but also the fireplace and nice music. In one of the rooms there is a stylish bar. We take it for granted that the waiters and waitresses are ready to assist you during your relaxing and entertainment and make more it pleasant and enjoyable.
These vast and divided areas are suitable for quiet sitting at candles, as well as for company and family events. The whole space can be hired for a group in case of interest.
Lounge The style of the lounge is untraditional – right away, just in a separated room, you will be in the historical centre of Hradec Králové city, Great Square. It is enabled by art plasters on the walls and ceiling of the lounge that are accompanied by window-panes facing the house atrium.
20 places are at your disposal in the lounge. The lounge can be hired for a closed society.
